Travis and his crazy sign language
Goal: tear off the roofs of the bedroom and kitchen. This involved removing the top layer of rubber mats with tar on top, which Brad and Alec are doing in the picture below.
Underneath the first layer was another layer of asphalt shingles also covered with tar. You can see in this picture how the second story sub flooring and the roof of the bedroom (and kitchen) are not level. Before the trusses go up, this problem has to be addressed.
The finished product ... ugh!! Bard calls it "house guts" :)
The back porch roof was also torn down. This picture is from the kitchen roof looking down.
