After a beautiful hint of spring several weeks ago, it's been cold, windy, and rainy. A big tree fell down across our road and Mathis could talk of nothing else! We're hanging on for some warm weather soon so we can get back outside. In the meantime, here are some pictures of the kids with Daddy. Bard is working like crazy to finish up the semester. We're all counting down the days until he's finished. The kids spend a good part of each day trying to sneak into the study to see him!
Kate, who rarely stays still for more than 30 seconds was more than happy to snuggle with Daddy while he was taking a much deserved break. She loves her Daddy!! She get's so excited when she sees him, her little legs start kicking. When he's in the room her eyes follow him wherever he goes.
Mathis is Daddy's biggest helper and nothing makes him happier than "working outside with Daddy." With the cold, rainy weather there hasn't been much of that, but the trash still has to be taken out, and Mathis is right there and so proud to be Daddy's helper.
Bard is so proud of Mathis' fascination with the calculator. I found Mathis in the chair one day, studiously working. He can't say calculator but he knows it's a big long word, so each time he says it out comes an extra long string of syllables. We love hearing him say it so much that we're always prompting him with questions that require "calculator" as the answer :)
