House Construction

This is the brief version ... be back later with all the details. For now, here's the before and after.

This is the view from the back of the house. You can just see the front addition that we added last summer/fall. Bard tore out the inside of the old second story a couple of months ago. So they had to tear off the roof, the walls, floor, and the slanted roof of the kitchen and the bedroom (which is on the other side of the house). The trusses then were connected to the front addition and extended all the way back over the kitchen.





Another before and after from the back of the house, again. To the left of the old upstairs you can see the front addition. This picture also shows the porch roof, which was removed.




After ... the front pretty much looks just like this, except it has two windows on either side of the door, just like the ones on the second story.
