Feels Like Spring

While it may be a little early to declare spring is in the air, it certainly felt like it today. Oh happy day!! It feels so good to be outside without the trappings of winter. The fresh air, the sun, the birds, the wild, screaming kids .... yes, it's a wonderful thing, spring :)

The boys in their fort made from branches that were knocked off our tree during the snow storm.

Ktchen play ... stone soup and moss meat on the menu :) Grab a rock plate and help yourself.

Our first walk of the "spring" ... and yes, Kate did dress herself, right down to the mismatched socks AND shoes :) She pushed her stroller the whole walk. She contemplated leaving it on the side of the road at one point to pick up on the way back, but decided that her baby would cry for her.
And just so you know he's still around, here's Emerson a few weeks ago taking his first tub bath. He splashed us so much I had to use an extra towel just for the floor. Since then we've learned to put just a inch or two of water since he prefers "swimming" to sitting up.

Sigh ... this post was written last week when it was gloriously warm. Today is our fourth day of cold, gray, and rain. It wouldn't be so bad if we hadn't had a hint of bliss. When the rain stopped this afternoon, I sent Mathis out and he's playing soldier in the front yard ... wish you could see him, he takes it pretty seriously!
