It's hard to believe Emerson is four months old today! What a wonderful blessing to have new life in our family. The thing we have enjoyed the most with Emerson is watching Mathis, Kate, and even Jackson enjoy him. From the moment he was born, they were in love. Mathis immediately became his protector and teacher, telling him all about the new world. Kate, of course, is his second mother. As you'll see from the pictures, she has been by his side since the moment he entered the world. Nothing escapes her watchful eye. As soon as she wakes up in the morning, she sets out to "see my baby."
As Bard mentioned a while back, we were so excited to have our friend Emily come to Emerson's birth to take pictures of this wonderful day! She arrived just moments after he was born and captured the joy and wonder of welcoming him to our world. You'll notice Mathis and Kate were completely enraptured with Emerson's arrival. Kate took in every single detail ... you'll notice in the pictures that she's not missing a thing! Enjoy :)

That was BEAUTIFUL!! It made me cry too...you are an amazing woman and have been so blessed with a beautiful family!
