The Joys of Childhood

Birthdays and licking the spoon (or in this case, the whisk from Mama's new kitchen toy - a Christmas gift from Bard :) Now when Mathis hears the mixer start up he comes running and asks to lick the attachments!


We had the cousins over for cake and ice cream and Mathis was beside himself with excitement. Not sure if it was over the cousins or the cake and ice cream :) We were so worried that the new baby was going to arrive before his party, but sweet Jackson held on for another 3 weeks!!

Uncle Travis was the first to arrive for the party and he and Mathis wasted no time starting up the entertainment. We thought it was so funny, but Mathis was all business ... very serious!



We have a great video clip of "Happy Birthday" and Mathis trying to blow out his candles, but unfortunately I turned the camera when I was videotaping it, so you'd get a neck cramp trying to watch it ... sorry :(
