Catch-Up Post #1

We're back ... and slowly digging out from under the pile of things that accumulated during Bard's last few months of school. What a busy time. As much as we loved having Bard here during the day, we were all very ready for school to end and Bard to get back to work so at least we could spend some time with him when he came home in the afternoon. We should be back to updating more regularly now :)

Here's some pictures and tidbits to bring you up to date ....

The beautiful weather we had back in April along with Kate sprouting out of her dresses inspired me to drag out my sewing machine. Wow, sewing for little girls is so much fun!! Here's a Kate photo session :)





We also got our Square Foot Garden ready for planting. We had to redo a little of the work we did last year, but 2 out of the 3 beds are now good to go! Mathis loves working with Daddy and his "shov" (shovel).


Early May brought Bard's last week of shool, which we were all glad to see come. We were also busy the first weekend with Mother Daughter Tea at church. Always lots of work and lots of fun!


And last but not least in the first of several "catch-up" posts, here's the newest cousin, Anna. Mathis calls her Baby AN-na. It's funny to look back in our picture files to see dozens and dozens of pictures of Emma, Jared, and Tyler. Nieces and nephews were so novel back then and we had nothing better to do than snap picture after picture. Now with so many cousins and two little ones of our own, the new babies barely get a picture before they're grown. This is the only one I have of Baby Anna and she's already 2 1/2 mo. old. Oh well ...
