Summer Fun

Here's a wrap up of our summer in pictures. We went to the lake for the 4th of July and enjoyed a fun couple of days with the family. Bard helped out with the garage addition ... but as you'll see it was as much play as it was work :) It did rain on the 4th and we missed the parade, concert, and fireworks, which was a bummer, especially since the 4th is my personal favorite holiday ... oh well!! We also enjoyed visiting a nearby park that sits on the Chesapeake Bay. Even on warm summer nights, the cool breeze coming off the water made being outside enjoyable. The kids love playing in the sand and on the playground. Our trip to the zoo was a blast. After the kids realized that the animals were not going to come out and get them, they thoroughly enjoyed it :) I tried to pare the pictures down so it wouldn't be too overwhelming! I love, love, love, this picture of Jackson. The colors and lighting are so great. He was hanging out in a beanbag at the lake.


Here's one for those who knew me as a little girl ... this was my dress :) Of course, Kate is never without a baby and blanket, in this case, one of my dishrags! I love that girl!
